Supporting children and families

Helping every child feel seen, safe, and supported.

space for all

Our mission is to make sure no child feels like they are navigating life alone. We coordinate volunteers, caregivers, and community partners to provide advocacy, mentoring, and supportive services tailored to each child’s needs.

How our support works

Trauma Aware

Emotional and physical safety come first—for children, families, and volunteers. We use clear boundaries, screening, and training.

Relationship-Driven

Programs matter, but people matter more. We prioritize relationships, trust, and human connection in everything we do.

Community Based

We follow through on what we say, communicate clearly, and always work to improve how we serve children and families.

Our Methods

We listen

Our approach is simple on purpose: listen carefully, respond thoughtfully, and stay present over time.

online safety

Children today grow up in a digital world. At Children to Cherish, we believe that online safety is a shared responsibility—between caregivers, community members, and the children themselves. This section provides trusted tools, videos, and educational resources to help you guide kids toward safe, healthy digital habits.

volunteer mentors

We connect children with volunteers who can offer consistent presence—whether that means mentoring, academic support, emotional encouragement, or practical help.

Referral and listening.

  1. Referral and listening.
Children and families are referred to us by caregivers, educators, community partners, or through our direct contact form. We start with a conversation that focuses on listening: understanding the child’s story, needs, and existing support.
  2. Thoughtful matching.
We connect children with volunteers who can offer consistent presence—whether that means mentoring, academic support, emotional encouragement, or practical help.
  3. Coordinated support.
We organize volunteers around real needs: attending meetings, helping with logistics, creating safe spaces for kids to talk, or simply showing up regularly as a trusted adult.
  4. Ongoing check-ins.
We stay in contact with families and volunteers to see what’s working, adjust when necessary, and make sure support remains helpful and appropriate.
  5. Community partnerships.
When needs extend beyond what we can offer directly, we help connect families to community resources, services, and programs that align with their goals.
